Pets are undoubtedly becoming human beings best friends for not only their affection but also the companionship. That morning kiss and evening hug that comes from your dog is worth nurturing the pet always. At Sampson Smiles Pet Care, dog walking is not just a service, but it is also our core business and one in which we have many years of experience.
There is no doubt that dog owners stand to accrue both social and health benefits by walking their dogs regularly. While most dogs need to be walked every day, many people just can’t find the time for that. Our highly trained and experienced staff is happy to give you a service that suits the walking/sitting needs of the dog, at all ages. We are well suited to provide your dog with regular exercise as needed, depending on the breed, level of fitness, and age.
Our range of service exceeds the regular dog walking and sitting services. Our staff provides pet care at your home when you are on vacation, midday walking services when you are at work as well as non-emergency transportation to the nearest veterinarians, pet groomers, and care centers. In addition to dog walking, we also provide all types of pet sitting services and will come and look after your pets, birds or other animals in Franconia, Kingstowne, Alexandria and the surrounding areas.
From cats to dogs, fish, birds, rabbits and small caged animals, we provide our services to folks in Hayfield, Manchester Lakes, Kingstowne, Mount Vernon, Springfield, Fort Belvoir as well as many parts of Alexandria. While we strive to give indiscriminate service for all, we might decline to provide care services to pets deemed harmful to our sitters. We advise pet owners to disclose existing behaviors that might be aggressive in nature before the planned visits.
It starts with a consultation for the new clients where they get to know our terms of service before the scheduled visit. At this point, we collect all the vital information that will be needed by us. While the initial consultation comes at no charge, scheduled request to meet specific pet walkers and sitters does have a nominal $15 charge. For the sake of affordability, our rates are tailored based on the level of care needed, the period of attention and the number of animals involved.
We will keep your pet healthy and safe from physical distress and hence the reason all our sitters and walkers are CPR certified. In the event of a sick pet, we administer oral medications, subcutaneous fluids, and insulin injections. We do not charge for this if the drugs are given within the contracted period.
